－　　－38Susumu NIIProfessor, Department of Conceptual Design - Career -After graduating from Tokyo Zokei University, Susumu Nii exhibited his first work named “Dekigoto” (lit.“Occurrence”) at the Art Association’s Shinseisaku Exhibition in 1979.Apart from group exhibitions, Nii promotes his new works every year by other media such as private exhibitions.*Note: The art group (association of Shinseisaku) is now named Shinseisakuten.-The work and its concept-This work plays on formative spaces as well as plane surfaces.The main theme of this work is the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, where Nii was born and raised.
