Does the resolution work, fine! If it does not work, another auxiliary is applied usually without investigation of why the previous resolution failed. In the present paper, we describe two different types of diastereomer co-crystallization, which impede diastereomer separation, the crucial step in the resolution procedure. The diastereomers (RFe,RC)- and (SFe,RC)-[CpFe(Prophos)PPh(OMe)2]PF6 form 1:1 co-crystals with a racemate-like lattice of almost image and mirror image molecules, whereas the diastereomers (RRu,RC)- and (SRu,RC)-[MeCpRu(Prophos)Cl] crystallize in a 7:93 co-crystal with a conglomerate-like lattice of almost the same molecules. In 2016, Tsuno and his group published a paper in Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. of ChemPubSoc Europe. The editor invited the group to prepare the cover picture and cover profile of Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. The photograph used for the cover picture shows a Japanese morning glory, whose vine winds counterclockwise, while the bud is clockwise.Keywords: half-sandwich compounds, co-crystal, X-ray analysis, ruthenium, iron単結晶中におけるハーフサンドイッチ(RM, RC)/(SM, RC)-ジアステレオマーの共結晶化ジアステレオマーの関係にある(RFe,RC)-/(SFe,RC)-[CpFe(Prophos)PPh(OMe)2]PF6は，殆ど鏡像に近い構造で1:1の共結晶を形成した。一方，(RRu,RC)-/(SRu,RC)-[MeCpRu(Prophos)Cl]は，7:93のconglomerate様共結晶を形成した。この研究内容は，2016年にChemPubSoc EuropeのEur. J. Inorg.
