- -16Tomoaki NAKAMURA Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering Tomoaki Nakamura is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Industrial Technology of Nihon University. Dr. Nakamura received his B. L. A. in Civil Engineering from Nihon University in 2006 and his Ph. D. from Advanced Research Institute Science and Technology, Nihon University in 2011. Dr. Nakamura worked for Tokyo Electric Power Environment Engineering Corporation from 2011 to 2014, where he was simultaneously engaged in environmental assessments that affect power plants and harbor facilities. Dr. Nakamura’s work has included predicting distribution of radioactively contaminated water released by Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant by means of a three-dimensional flow model linked with a diffusion model, and monitoring to grasp thermal discharge spread influence. He is a member of JSCE, JSMST, and JSIA.
