-  -14Katsumi SATOAssociate Professor, Department of Civil EngineeringKatsumi Sato graduated from Nihon University in 1988. He first worked as a sewerage engineer at Nihon Risui Engineering Co. , Ltd. and then at the Sewage Construction Department of the City of Narashino, Chiba. Dr. Sato returned to Nihon University in 1993 to pursue his master's degree through the Civil Engineering Specialty of Industrial Technology Course. After earning his master's degree in 1995, Dr. Sato joined Nakanihon Engineering Consultants Co. , Ltd. as a senior engineer of water supply and sewerage engineer of sewerage system planning, sewage drain design, and stock management. He is licensed as a professional engineer in Japan in the fields of water supply and sewerage, and also earned his ph. D at Nihon University. Dr. Sato's doctoral thesis was Simple Estimation of Below-Road-Surface Cavities Considering the Soundness of Pavement. He has served in his present post, studying maintenance engineering and situational monitoring technology since 2016. Dr. Sato is a member of Japan Society of Civil Engineers, The Institution of Professional Engineers of Japan, Japan Sewage Works Association and Society of Environmental Conservation Engineering.
