She also serves as vice-president of the Japan Society for Finishings Technology and as a director of several institutions. After graduating from university, she worked as a research engineer at Taisei Corporation, and later began teaching and conducting research at Nihon University where she also organized the Material Design and Construction Strategy Laboratory. She was a guest researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (ILT) and RWTH Aachen University in Germany from 2017 to 2018. Her principal research is on the durability of materials, sustainability of historic buildings and skyscrapers, and development using lasers at construction sites.
