Shin Yamaguchi received the M. Eng. degree in civil engineering from Nihon University and joined IHI Construction Materials Co., Ltd in 2006. He became a Research Associate in 2010 and then an Assistant Professor in 2014 at the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Industrial Technology, Nihon University. He has been a full-time Senior Lecturer since 2017 at the same institution. As a member of the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Industrial Technology, Nihon University, he has been actively studying low-temperature autoclave curing of silica fume-blended concrete for reduction in both environmental impact and production costs, utilizing his experience in the production field of secondary concrete products. He was awarded his Dr. Eng. degree for his research work entitled “A Study on Low-temperature Autoclave Curing of Silica Fume-blended Concrete” in 2013. His current research focus is on establishment and practical application of the technology. He is a member of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE), the Japan Concrete Institute, the Society of Inorganic Materials and the Society of Materials Science, Japan. Kouichiro Yamanouchi received his Master of Engineering degree in civil engineering from Nihon University and joined the Central Research Laboratory of the National Federation of Ready-Mixed Concrete Industrial Associations in 2003. He became an Assistant Chief Research Engineer in 2008, an Associate Chief Research Engineer in 2017, and has been a Chief Research Engineer since 2020 at the same institution. As a research member at the Central Research Laboratory of the National Federation of Ready-Mixed Concrete Industrial Associations, he has been actively studying quality evaluation associated with alkali silica reactivity, concrete drying shrinkage and pavement concrete. Since 2014 his research interest has been in quality evaluation of high-flow concrete, with many research results published in academic journals and at conferences. He was awarded his Doctor of Engineering degree from Nihon University for his research work entitled “Study on pumping performance based on rheological evaluation of medium-flow and high-flow concrete” in 2021. Currently, he has a specific focus on labor saving solutions for ready-mixed concrete quality control as well as other technical research related to concrete engineering, while also being engaged in technical support programs intended for the members of the associations, including various workshops and proficiency tests. He is a member of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) and the Japan Concrete Institute.─ 10 ─Biographical Sketches of the Authors
