Qualifications obtainable

In Department of Industrial Engineering, students can obtain the following qualifications during their enrollment or upon graduation (or may be exempt from certain exams or subjects). The acquisition methods vary depending on the qualification, such as whether it can be obtained without an exam, requires practical experience, or necessitates the completion of specific subjects. Surveyor / Assistant Surveyor

Surveyor is a national qualification required for surveyors working in surveying firms. It is regulated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, specifically the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan, under the Surveying Act. A licensed surveyor is responsible for creating or implementing plans related to surveys conducted by surveying firms. On the other hand, a " Assistant Surveyor " works on surveys in accordance with plans created by surveying firms.

Person Responsible for Handling Poisonous Substances and Deleterious Substances

In accordance with the Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Act, individuals in the role of " Pharmaceutical and Poisonous Articles Control Law " are responsible for preventing health and hygiene hazards associated with the manufacturing and sale of poisonous and deleterious substances at relevant establishments.

Professional Engineer / Associate Professional Engineer

It is a national qualification in Japan based on the Professional Engineer Act. Professional Engineers are qualified to engage in tasks related to the planning, research, design, analysis, testing, evaluation, or guidance of matters requiring advanced expertise in science and technology. Associate Professional Engineers, on the other hand, are individuals being trained to become Professional Engineers in the future. They can assist in tasks under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.

First-class Architect / Second-class Architect / Wooden Building Architect

First-class architects, licensed by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, are authorized to engage in the design and construction supervision of all facilities, including buildings that require complex and advanced technical expertise.
Second-class architects, licensed by the governor of a prefecture, are permitted to engage in the design and construction supervision of essential buildings for daily life, including smaller-scale wooden structures, within certain size limits.
Wooden building architects, licensed by the governor of a prefecture and using the title "Wooden Building Architect," can undertake tasks such as design and construction supervision for wooden structures below a certain size limit.

“Certified Public Tax Accountant” is a certified public tax accountant, a nationally qualified professional in taxation matters, capable of taking on various jobs related to taxation. Upon becoming a tax accountant, individuals are registered in the Japan Federation of Certified Public Tax Accountants' list, and they are issued a registration card with a photo, known as the "Certified Public Tax Accountant Certificate.

First-Class Land Radio Operator

It is a national qualification stipulated by the Radio Law, allowing the technical operation of radio equipment. Class 2 Electrical Work Engineer

"Electrical Work Engineer" is a national qualification granted by the governor of the prefecture, and unless one holds the license of an electrical work engineer, they are not allowed to engage in the construction of general-purpose electrical facilities. "Class 2 Electrical Work Engineer" can engage in the construction of electrical facilities such as general homes, small-scale shops, and electrical systems receiving 600V or less.
